Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Random Question Generator ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at questiongeneratorrandom.org (the "Site"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Short version: we collect minimal information, we do not sell personal information, and we currently rely primarily on browser storage for functionality. We also provide a consent banner for non-essential cookies so the site is ready for optional analytics or advertising tools if they are enabled later.

1. Introduction

Random Question Generator is a free online tool that helps teachers, trainers, students, and content creators generate quiz questions instantly. The Site is operated independently and can be contacted at contact@aigotowork.work.

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Site.

This policy covers:

  • What information we collect when you visit the Site
  • How we use that information
  • How we share information with third parties
  • How we use cookies and similar technologies
  • How Google AdSense would use data on this Site if advertising is enabled
  • Your rights regarding your personal information

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain technical information may be collected automatically through server logs, browser requests, cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. Depending on deployment infrastructure, this may include:

  • Log Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, time and date of visit, and approximate session timing
  • Device Information: device type, screen resolution, preferred language, and other browser capabilities sent as part of standard web requests
  • Usage Data: features used, question types selected, topics chosen, export actions taken, and other product interactions, generally in aggregate and not tied to named accounts
  • Cookie and Storage Data: preference choices, draft state, and consent settings as described in Section 4

2.2 Information You Provide Voluntarily

We collect information you actively provide, such as when you send an email or use a mailto-based contact form that opens your own email client.

  • Contact Form Drafts: name, email address, subject, and message content entered into the privacy or about-page mailto forms before your email client sends them
  • Email Communications: any information included in emails you send to contact@aigotowork.work or midoriko053@gmail.com

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

  • We do not require account registration or collect login credentials.
  • We do not store generated quiz questions on our own application servers in this build.
  • We do not collect payment information because the core tool is free to use.
  • We do not intentionally collect sensitive data such as health, financial, or government ID data.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the applicable age thresholds described below.

4.2 Google Analytics

The current codebase does not load Google Analytics scripts as of March 18, 2026. If Google Analytics is enabled later, it may collect information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they view, approximate device and browser information, and traffic sources. We would update this page before enabling that change in production.

If Google Analytics is introduced later, you will also be able to review Google's privacy information and opt-out tools here:

4.3 How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

  • Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Useful help pages include Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
  • Cookie Consent Banner: When you first visit the Site, a consent banner allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
  • Industry Opt-out Tools: You can also use the NAI opt-out tool or the DAA opt-out tool.

Please note that disabling certain cookies or storage features may affect Site functionality, such as restoring drafts or remembering your theme setting.

5. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

This Site is prepared for Google AdSense, but Google AdSense is not currently active in this codebase as of March 18, 2026. The information below explains how third-party advertising will work if and when AdSense is enabled.

5.1 How Google AdSense Would Work

If enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies, including advertising identifiers, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites on the internet. These technologies help Google and its partners measure performance, prevent fraud, and personalize advertising where permitted.

5.2 Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

If AdSense is enabled, Google may serve personalized ads based on browsing history and interests, or non-personalized ads based on contextual signals such as page content or coarse location. Your consent settings and regional requirements may affect which mode is used.

5.3 How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads

5.4 Google's Data Practices

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share information only in limited circumstances:

6.1 Service Providers

We may share data with trusted service providers who help operate the Site, subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

6.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by courts, regulators, or other public authorities.

6.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, information relevant to Site operations may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

6.4 Protection of Rights

We may disclose information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Random Question Generator, our users, or others.
